Late Valentines Day Greetings

Sometimes you just happen to stumble upon the greatest people in the world. For me, cliche enough, one of those people is my girl friend of over 2 years now. Last night, on Valentines day when I contemplated selling my hatch again she told me this:

I may not know a lot about cars, and I may get bored at meets from time to time, but that doesn’t stop me from loving what you do. It especially doesn’t stop me from admiring all the hard work and effort you put into cars. I’ve never seen anyone so passionate about a lifestyle before… And you have this fire inside that is always set a blaze when you meet other car enthusiasts especially JUST like you. Your love for this hobby is so great that you’ve got someone like me.. Who doesn’t have a clue about cars appreciate and respect it as much as you do if not the same amount. What you contribute to the  auto community is irreplaceable. Sure people like to out flashy and expensive things in their cars, but they forget what it all comes down to. It isn’t about who is the best… It’s about sharing your love for a hobby, a lifestyle, call it what you may. This is why I know why many of your friends don’t understand why you do things that you do. I may not know what exactly it is that you add or change up on your car, but I do know why you do it. Some people might do it for silly reasons and some may think that you’re silly… But I think you’re passionate. Seeing you happy and satisfied with what you have is absolutely rewarding

If you find someone that understands you like she does me, hold on to them forever. And with that, I now have a new burst of inspiration to continue work on the hatch. One day Ill make it do this:

Late Christmas

Like most of you, I don’t save my money. If I have it, I spend it. What do I spend it on? Car parts.
Thus is the outcome of my recent selling of my miata. I went out and bought things for the new
project.  Here is a sneak peak 🙂

Enjoy!

lone star state

So, i’ve been working on this flag design for branden and I to rock on our cars and rep the great state of texas. It’s a redesigned version of the flag from the Battle of Gonzales. Not sure if i’m going to mass produce these or not yet. But I need to make a stencil so I can get these flags finished up!

If you know your Texas history, you know what I’m talking about. If not…here’s a link

For those of you who don’t know, I rep Texas like no other. It’s the greatest nation in the United States.

If the Battle of Gonzales teaches you anything, it’s that Texas goes HARD TO THE PAINT.

Welcome. It’s been a long time coming that my friend Thaison Nguyen and I, Branden Chaisorn, have been thinking about creating a blog / team of our own. Lets first talk about the name. Natsukashi in Japanese is short for “feeling nostalgic” or “fond/sweet memory” and that is exactly what the both of us look for when it comes to our outlook on cars. To us cars are more then just machines that we use in this automated world to get us from point a or point b. Cars, to those who understand where we come from, are extensions of ourselves and what we stand for. It’s easy to look at someone’s car and judge based on parts and modifications that you either like or dislike but what we try to preach is that there is much more to cars then just superficial glorification. Cars create memories, some good some bad, but regardless of the outcome to most car people these memories are something that we will never forget and would never trade in. As vehicles come and go we remember all the great times we had in them or around them with the amazing friends that we make along the way.

So this is Natsukashi Garage, the start of a diary of our lives journey and a display of how our cars help to define who we are.
